Happy New Year from IDA PGH! We hope your 2019 ended well, and wish 2020 to be the best year you have ever had, with many more to come! We also would like to thank those of you that have been around in 2019 to help with outreach about light pollution in the Pittsburgh region. We have the website upgrade up and running, take a look if you haven’t yet (idapgh.org). We are looking forward to seeing all of you at events throughout 2020, and to help grow IDA PGH and IDA Pennsylvania as they both gain membership. Keep in mind throughout 2020, light pollution outreach should be in the forefront of our minds at all times, and not a hindsight!
Next IDA Pittsburgh Meeting Date
The next IDA Pittsburgh meeting date is Wednesday, March 11th 2020. It will be at 6:30 PM at Allegheny Observatory.
The Website is going through changes!
We’ve recently attained non-profit status with the state, and with this we are upgrading the website to reflect this. While the pages are being worked on, any pages that are under construction will display a “coming soon” page. Don’t worry, this “Coming Soon” has a deadline - by January 31st 2020.
We are looking for night time pictures of Pittsburgh (or within Pennsylvania), if any photographer is willing to donate. You will be credited! Don’t worry, the stock photographs on the website at the time of this posting will be replaced with your work throughout the construction!
